My Best Photos of 2014

2014 was one of those years where I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I am not talking about one of those old rickety wood things from the 60’s. I am talking about the new ones, the ones that are designed by retired NASA engineers that pull 4g.s and are made of more steel than what’s in a miscellaneous scrap yard in the desert outside of Vegas. The edit for My Best Photos of 2014 began with a look at 28,174 selects from this past year. Then came tears. Pain. Suffering. Success. Failure. Pleasure. Cold. Warmth. Vomit. Diarrhea. And bug bites. Lots of freakin’ bug bites.

As I sit here and begin putting this post together, I realize that it is only the third post for me this year. On the surface, that may look a bit lazy, but there were other issues at play in 2014 that had my attention. The biggest was this website. It was six months in the making. It was conceptualized, designed, coded, constructed, and implemented by me. There was quite a bit of help from my friend Brendan Quigley with a good part of the text, but the photos – those babies were all mine. This site is now where I feel it should be. In a position to allow us to provide anyone who is willing to look a contemporary multi-media experience that highlights my mission of producing the story. Now add on top of this running a successful workshop season, planning for the 2015 season, rebuilding my business and marketing plans (which are still not complete), creating more photos, and brainstorming new and amazing ideas that you will begin to see shortly, I believe I have a few reasons for being lazy about this blog. Or should we just leave it at ignoring it for just a while…
