Fly-Fisherman, Green River Lake by Daryl Hunter
Daryl Hunter’s photo of a fly-fisherman was taken at Green River Lake in Wyoming. He sent the photo to the Sports Action Assignment which is open for submissions through May 14. Hunter writes about taking this photo, “Me and a buddy had been hiking and taking photos of golden aspens in the Wind River Mountains at Green River Lakes and we had used up the day but on our way out we saw this fisherman in the stunning scenery. We were lucky the fisherman cooperated and held really still because there was very little light.” He used a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L lens.
I select a Photo Of The Day every day. I choose the images from the various OP galleries including Assignments, Your Favorite Places and all of the OP Contests. Also, for each issue of the magazine I go through the Assignments galleries and choose a few to be featured in The Best Of Assignments in print and I select a weekly winner to be featured on the OP home page. To get your photos into the running all you have to do is submit them.
